Applause and More
It’s a great thing when an audience applauds.
It’s even better when your peers applaud. Tim has received standing ovations at KIDABRA, The Workshop, and at the IBM International Convention. Each convention appearance seems to lead to other offers.
Here is what some of the world’s top magicians are saying about Tim’s performance & lecture:
David Sandy says...

Dear Tim,
As someone who has produced and attended dozens of magic conventions over the years, I've seen countless magic presentations and lectures for magicians. After witnessing the incredible performance and lecture you presented at the WORKSHOP Reunion last week in St. Joseph, Missouri, I can honestly say, without hesitation, that I've experience one of the best, most practical and informative lectures imaginable.
For any performer who entertains children, families or even adults, I highly recommend that they catch your show and lecture if ever possible. You exhibited amazing control over the 100+ children throughout your show. Your suggestions and thoughts on entertaining
children was right on the money! Through your motivational message, you inspired both the children and adults...and by the end of the show, there was barely a dry eye in the ballroom.
Tim, you have an amazing talent. I know that your busy performing schedule prohibits you from appearing at many conferences for magicians, however, I do hope that you will take the opportunity to share with your peers when possible. You are truly an inspiration to us all!
Mark Wilson says...

"The way that Tim Hannig works with kids is true magic. His show of music, magic, and message ended with a well deserved standing ovation from a room full of magicians! Tim is certainly one of the finest children's entertainers working today."
Joaquin Ayala says...

"I arrived to the Convention on the 3rd day, and all I kept hearing was "Tim Hannig...Tim Hannig...Tim Hannig. I'm so sorry that I missed seeing you work. It is evident to me that you have figured out the true magic in your presentations...it's not about tricks...it's about YOU! Way to go, Tim!"
Danny Cole says...

"Tim Hannig shows us that performing for kids can be a true art form. His thoughtful and touching performance was truly inspiring. I mean it. His show was outstanding."
Bob Sheets says...

"Performing for children is a real "art" and you are one of it's great practitioners. You were great and everyone who saw your show was inspired."
Doc Eason says...

"Here is a guy who knows what he's talking about. His way of dealing with kids is inspirational. I sat in awe as he took a group of kids through nearly every range of emotion, from screaming the answers to sitting quietly with their hands in their laps. His words of advice are applicable to every performer. Book him."
Dale Salwak says...

Dear Tim:
I hope your ears were burning because I've received so many nice comments about your work at the convention. Richard Stupple from London said he'd never seen a finer children's show and lecture, ever -- and that means something because Richard is himself a noted entertainer of children and has seen the best. You are really a first-class talent, and I can't tell you how pleased I am with your work. On behalf of the entire convention committee, thanks so much for all you did to make this convention one of our best.
Don Wiberg says...

Just a short note to tell you again how much I enjoyed your performance at the Workshop. Needless to say, it was the talk of the week. When other performers mention your show during their own presentations, you know you made an impact. I had dinner with Dale Salwak and we both talked about how well structured and meaningful your performance was. He books the talent for the IBM conventions and is involved in producing shows on the west
coast. I contacted Jep Hostetler, Columbus MagiFest, and told him about you also."
Jep Hostetler says...

Tim,
I actually caught your show. TOP DRAWER. You are the kind of act we really want!
Richard Stupple says...

As a professional Children’s Entertainer, I have over the years seen hundreds of lectures and performances on the subject. – Recently I had the pleasure of seeing at the IBM Convention Tim Hannig perform for a group of children. He is among the very best I have ever seen. He had total rapport with, and control over his young audience and his magic is clean, direct and very funny.
At the end of the performance, he had the children stand and file out of the room so quietly that he amazed everyone, including the teachers. – This man is magic.
Following the performance Tim lectured for the magicians. He clearly demonstrated that, he is not only a world-class performer in the field of Children’s Entertainment but also an excellent lecturer. He really knows, not only the practical side of his profession, but also the theory. He imparts his knowledge to others in a very pleasant way.
If you need a Children’s Entertainer for any type of function, you can do no better than Tim Hannig.
He would also be my choice to book for lecturing and performing at Magic Conventions anywhere in the world – His style and approach is universal. – Don’t miss him.
Keith Leff says...

"Tim Hannig is by far, one of the best, if not THE best children's entertainers I have come across."
Linking Ring Magazine Review

Nearly a hundred children were brought into the lecture room so that Tim would have a live and "normal" audience for the performance portion of his "Pro Kids Show" that he does in schools. That was one of the smartest things that anyone could have done.
It was a great show for the kids and it was an enlightening experience for the magicians who observed a professional who is obviously in total control of the children from the moment they came in to the moment he lined them up and directed them to leave. His show was good...but his personality and attitude is what garnered him a standing ovation from the magicians who respected his talents as the children were leaving the room.
The Pro Kids Show is designed and scripted to give the young people examples about a positive attitude, character, determination, facing problems, and dealing with conflict. Sounds heavy, but the show actually just goes along in an enchanting way as Tim plays with sponge balls, tissue paper, balloons, an opossum puppet, and a frame with a picture that changes.
It would be hard to describe: if you could envision the ideal one-man school assembly show complete with music, backdrops, costume, characters, and a message delivered by a very polished professional family entertainer, then you would be close to understanding why all of the magicians in the room stood at the end.
For the second hour of the show Tim explained how he is able to create "experiences" for his audience rather than show them tricks. The tips and ideas that he gave about performing for kids and family audiences was like an endless stream of brilliant knowledge (...I honestly couldn’t write fast enough!).
To sum it all up Tim stated, "With kids it’s the journey rather than the destination." His experience that he shared with us that hour was inspiring and one of the highlights of the convention for many of us who perform for family audiences.
